On Saturday, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Pierre Simon Georges, Minister of the Environment, and Carmel André Belliard, Minister of Agriculture and Local Authorities, laid the cornerstone for the construction of the "Center Germplasm (1) and of plant propagation" of Fonds des Nègres, in the Department of Nippes.

This installation will be carried out under the patronage of the Head of State, represents a vast nursery with a production capacity of 4.5 million seedlings per year, comprising 70% of fruit trees and 30% of forest trees .
