250 NGOs banned in Haiti

257 NGOs are no longer authorized to operate in Haitian territory. A decision taken by the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation because these Organizations did not comply with government requirements, only 370 official NGOs respect the rules of the Government in Haiti. The list of these unauthorized NGOs should be published shortly in the media and the official newspaper "Le Moniteur", the Ministry said.

CONATEL : Towards a new scale of tariffs and royalties

The Executive Body of the National Telecommunications Council (CONATEL) informs operators that from 1 October 2017 a new scale of tariffs and royalties on licenses and services provided to telecommunications operators will be in force. Implementing arrangements are currently being discussed with interested parties. The purpose of this scale is to strengthen the competitive telecommunications environment in Haiti by imposing the same obligations on operators of the same category in accordance with international good practice.
