Haiti - Education : Subsidized school books not available, who is right ?

Saturday, on the road to the Airport, in front of the Henri Deschamps Publishing House parents who came to buy subsidized school books were frustrated to learn that these books were not yet available for sale 8 days after the start of the school year. They describes as lies the declarations made yesterday by Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education who said that the publishers had already received a portion of the subsidies and that they had to market the subsidized school books...

"What has been concluded is what needs to be done [...] there is no reason why they should not be available if the government meets its commitments." e explains that it was through the press that he heard about this first payment to publishing houses "[...] This is not yet the case, as far as we are concerned," adding that the declaration of the Minister had forced the Maison Deschamps to close its stores especially in Carrefour.
