Haiti - Elections : INITE officially announce the withdrawal of Jude Célestin
The Platform INITE, announced in a press release, this Wednesday January 26 its decision to withdraw the candidacy of Jude Célestin of the second round of presidential elections.

In its statement, INITE said to be certain that Jude Célestin as received the necessary votes and that he's allowed to go to the second round and that decision has been taken to foster stability in the country, in accordance with the policies of President René Préval "We thank Jude who understood the situation, even when he and us do not agree on how the things go."

INITE criticized the report of the OAS and reported acts of intimidation whose suffered, in general indifference, its supporters since the publication of preliminary results. In addition, INITE deplore the pressure exerted by the international community, who brandished the threat of embargo or withdrawal of aid to Haiti.

INITE request to its members, supporters, sympathizers and the Haitian people to stay calm and continue to mobilize to ensure the victory of its candidates to the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies.

RUMOURS: JJude Célestin would disagree with the decision of the Platform INITE and would threaten to denounce this announcement ... For the moment Jude Célestin remains silent....
