Haiti - Jamaica : A Haitian arrested with nearly 800 kg of Ganja
The Jamaican police arrested and detained a Haitian identified as Love Darlen's Felix (22) aka "Odian Powell" as he attempted to smuggle 1,600 pounds of Ganja (Canabis) of an estimated value was over $6.5 million Jamaican dollars. He is accused of possessing, trading, preparing to export Ganja and illegal entry into Jamaica.

The arrest took place during a narcotics operation along the Hellshire coast, near the former shrimp factory, in Sainte-Catherine (15 km west of Kingston). Thirty-five bags and two buckets of Canabis were found and seized. Police report that a Haitian passport on behalf of Love Darlen's Felix was found in a bucket among the drug.

The police added that a more thorough investigation revealed that the accused had not arrived in Jamaica through a legitimate port of entry and was in a process of returning to Haiti.

Love Darlen's Felix will be brought to court Tuesday, November 21st.
