Haiti - Culture : The Ministry salutes the departure for the beyond of the singer Paul Edouard Jean

Following the death of the singer Paul Edouard Jean aka "Papi Polo" (1945-2017) of the Tropicana orchestra, the Director General Michel Lapin, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture sent a message of sympathy :

"The Ministry of Culture and Communication mourns the departure of the talented musician and lyricist of the Tropicana Orchestra of Haiti, Paul Edouard Jean, which occured on Wednesday October 25 in Cap Haitien https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22520-haiti-news-zapping.html

Integrating the Tropicana Orchestra of Haiti in the 70s, this eminent singer-songwriter has shown his immense talent, his musical versatility, his discipline, his rigor. Thus, he became one of the Tenors of the "Rocket of Gold" in particular, Haitian music in general.

The Ministry of Culture and Communication sends its deepest sympathies to the Haitian cultural sector, members of the family of the deceased and his brothers musicians of the Tropicana Orchestra of Haiti."
