Haiti - Economy : Doing Business 2018, in business Haiti stagnates and remains misclassified... 05/11/2017 07:01:50
The new "Doing Business" classifies countries this year according to the ease they offer to do business. On this point, Haiti has seen a very slight improvement with a score of 38.24 (up + 0.01 compared to the previous report), the worst score in the Caribbean, while our neighbors in the Dominican Republic posted a score of 60.93. + 2.52 increase. Note that the average score of the Latin America and Caribbean region is 58.66  If Haiti made slight progress in: the time to start a business; the issuance of a building permit; the connection to electricity and cross-border trade, the report notes a deterioration in the payment of taxes...
