Last week, the members of the Core Group (the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General, the Ambassadors of Brazil, Canada, France, Spain, the United States of America, the United European Union, and the Special Representative of the Organization of American States) met for the first time since the appointment of the new Chief of the United Nations Mission for the Support of Justice in Haiti (Minujusth) Susan D Page https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22590-haiti-un-a-woman-at-the-head-of-minujusth.html

The Core Group on this occasion renewed its commitment to be a leading partner in the sustainable development of Haiti, through the consolidation of democracy and the rule of law, the promotion of human rights, as well as strengthening of stability in the country. Members reiterated their interest in working together as an active supporter of Haiti and their desire to continue a constructive dialogue with Haitian authorities and institutions, political actors, as well as civil society. The Core Group also praised the commitment of President Moïse and other actors to fight against corruption and encouraged all concerned to act effectively in this direction.
