Michel-Ange Gédéon, the Director General (DG) of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) informs that individuals pretending to be the DG of the PNH.
"To cut short to persistent rumors of individuals pretending to be the DG of the PNH, claiming here and there money, giving account numbers for depositing money or ransoming citizens on the social networks (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter), the Director General of the PNH informs the general public and the commerce in particular that he has given no mandate to anyone, both in Haiti and abroad, to make requests on his behalf or in the name of the PNH to individuals residing in Haiti or abroad.
An investigation is opened to the DCPJ. Some thugs are already identified. The victims of these scams are invited to file a complaint to the justice and the DCPJ for the legal consequences," informs Michel-Ange Gédéon, Director General of the PNH.
