Haiti - NOTICE : HELP Scholarships, applications open
The Haitian Education & Leadership Program (HELP) informs students of Philo and Bachelors that they can present themselves now for the first stage of application, at HELP's office at #4, Street 5, Pacot, Port-au-Prince (Area College St. Francis of Assisi) or to a representative of HELP, with their notebooks from the 9th fundamental year at the Philo totaling a general average of 7.5/10 minimum.

HELP's mission is to train, through merit and need-based scholarships, a community of young professionals and leaders who will promote a more equitable Haitian society. Since 1997, HELP has been offering scholarships to young students from across the country. These scholarships are offered at the undergraduate level (licence) in Haitian universities such as Quisqueya University (UNIQ), Haiti High School of Infotronics (ESIH), Notre Dame University of Haiti (UNDH).

HELP fellows receive the following support: payment of university tuition fees, loan of books needed for their classes, access to a computer lab with access to the Internet, shared housing, monthly financial allowance for food and transport, English courses, computer and leadership, accompaniment to the realization of the memory of exit, psycho-social supervision and services of placement and careers.

Information and mandatory conditions required :

1. Fellows are selected on the basis of two criteria: academic excellence (merit) and low financial means (need);

2. To ensure the continuity of the program and give the same opportunity to the greatest number of students, the scholarship holders are required to contribute 15% of their income (15 gourdes for every 100 gourdes earned) for a period of nine (9) years as soon as they started work;

3. HELP does not subsidize medical studies or those at the master's level;

4. Participation in HELP activities during orientation and throughout the academic year is mandatory from Monday to Saturday;

5. HELP no longer subsidizes studies at the State University of Haiti (UEH).

Minimum eligibility requirements :

1. HELP receives candidates currently in philo and those who have already passed the baccalaureate. However, those currently in Philo can send their form before the proclamation of the final results of their school and those of the baccalaureate. Any applicant, to be eligible and receive a form, must total a weighted average of 7.5/10 minimum from 9th fundamental year to Rheto. But, if the applicant (boy or girl) has already completed the Philo class, the overall average of the philo class will be taken into account.

2. All applicants must be 22 years of age or older at the time of application submission.

Admission procedures :
1st step :
