Haiti - Politic : President Moïse visits the hydroelectric plant of Café Lompré

Friday, President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by his wife Martine, Prime Minister Jacques Guy Lafontant and several parliamentarians visited the facilities of the hydroelectric power plant "Café Lompré" located in the district of Trouin (Commune of Léogâne, West).

This visit is part of the evaluation of all resources and power plants in order to achieve in the short term the renovation of the national electricity grid and the electrification of the whole country 24/24.

Noting the state of disrepair of this hydroelectric plant installed in the area for more than ten years and now almost abandoned, President Moïse instructed the authorities concerned to take all the measures deemed necessary to restore and run the plant at full capacity.

The same day, Moïse officially proceeded to the opening of the road of Anbakan in the commune of Camp-Perrin, in the South department. A road infrastructure completely concreted over a length of 11 kilometers, carried out as part of the Caravan of Change.
