Following the death of the Reverend Father Joseph Simoly, cowardly murderer on December 21, at the age of 54 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23058-haiti-flash-a-priest-shot-dead-in-petion-ville.html the archdiocese of Port-au-Prince announces that the mass of his funeral will be celebrated on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 8:30 am at the Transitional Cathedral of Port-au-Prince and the exhibition of the body will take place from 6:30 am in the chapel of the Archbishop's palace.

Burial preceded by the "Libera" prayer will take place on the same day at Hinche Cathedral.

A vigil of prayer will be organized on Friday, December 29, 2017, from 4:00 pm at the parish of the Sacred Heart of Turgeau, Church to which Father Simoly was attached.

"The archdiocese of Port-au-Prince expresses its sympathies to all its relatives, especially his father and mother, his nine brothers and sisters, the members of the Promotion St. Paul of Damascus.
