Haiti - FLASH : Terrible accident on the RN1, 4 people burned alive

Friday, January 5 at midday on the National Road #1 at the communal section Carriès (Arcahaie, West) a van carrying containers of gasoline and passengers hit an electric pole and caught fire. Four people on board are dead, burned alive informs us the Directorate of Civil Protection. The victims whose identity could not be established on the spot, would be three boys and a girl, according to the report of Me Jules Jean-Rika, the substitute Judge of Peace of Arcahaie.

The National Police of Haiti (PNH) intervened quickly on the spot to avoid other accidents due to the violence of the fire on the road.

According to testimonies, 3 people could have survived the accident the driver and two passengers, however, no trace of these people was found on the scene at the time of the legal report. Me Jean-Rika has also not found trace of the admission of these alleged survivors to the hospital of Arcahaie.
