8 years after the magnitude 7 earthquake that claimed more than 300,000 lives, Haiti is struggling to recover from repeated natural disasters, but the hard-pressed Haitian people are recovering each time with a determination that continues to inspire and move the planet.

To remember and never forget, the House of Haiti (Maison d'Haïti) in Montreal invites the Haitian community to join her at the commemoration ceremony on January 12, 2018.

This evening is dedicated to all those who have lived from near and far this terrible drama, a minute of silence, a stop to give strength, courage and hope.

Several artists will be gathered for the occasion, including percussionist Diol Kidi accompanied by his musicians.
