329 wanted individuals (mostly gang members)

420 cases in treatment

SEIZURE :

48 kg of cocaine

954 kg marijuana

100,000 dollars (equivalent in several currencies: Gourdes, euros and USD)

66 vehicles including 20 motorcycles

92 firearms

2 boats

3 houses

However, no figures were provided on the number of kidnappings or the details of crime (murder, theft, rape and other crimes...) or the seizure of contraband, or the police officers under investigation, sanctioned or revoked, which makes impossible at the moment, any comparison on the evolution of the situation in Haiti during the year 2017 compared to 2016, pending a detailed balance...

In addition, Inspector Desrosiers said that on January 10, an individual identified as Noel Austant (74 years) was arrested at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport with 3 kg of cocaine in his possession, while he was preparing to leave Haiti to Florida.
