Antonio Rodrigue, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of France in Haiti, Mrs. Elisabeth Beton Delègue, signed on January 11 an agreement relating to the establishment in Haiti of Expertise France, the French Agency for International Technical Expertise.

Illustrating the common will of France and Haiti to deepen their cooperation in support of public policies and strengthening of administrations, the signing of this agreement aims to meet the needs of Haitian authorities in technical expertise to deal with development issues of the country.

Providing Haitian partners with the most appropriate public and private expertise, Expertise France is already working in Haiti mainly on European Union funding. The agency is involved in several capacity building projects in the areas of public finance, administrative litigation and the fight against AIDS.

This headquarters agreement, which defines the exercise conditions of Expertise France in Haiti allows the agency to settles to develop its activities in a close relationship with Haitian actors.

It comes to flesh out the French public system already present in Haiti: the French Institute in Haiti (IFH), the French Development Agency (AFD), the Lycée Alexandre Dumas, France Volunteers and more recently, Campus France.
