Haiti - NOTICE : National Essay Contest

The Francophone Solidarity Circle (CSF) is launching a national essay contest in Haiti for all students between the ages of 17 and 22, in the terminales classes of all schools in Haiti, on the theme "How can Haiti make the most of La Francophonie ?" (Comment Haïti peut-elle mettre à profit la francophonie)

The submitted text must be written in French, in Arial 12, double spaced and must not exceed 4 pages including the cover page.

It must include more to be accepted:

- An identity photo ;

- The first and last names of the participant;

- The name of the school attended;

- The level of education;

- A phone number of the school (that of the pedagogic manager).

Texts can be sent to the CSF by e-mail at: csfhaiti@yahoo.com.

Or on paper deposited at:

- The International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), Péguyville;

- At the Delmas Municipal Library 3, Delmas 49;

- At Radio Télévision Caraïbes FM, rue Chavannes (Downtown).

Deadline for submission: Thursday 1st February 2018 at 3:00 pm

The jury composed of the novelist Kettly Mars, Paula Clermont Péan, Director of the Pye Poudre Cultural Center, Marie Dominique Secours Jean, Director of the Lycée Fritz Pierre-Louis, Joseph Mathurin Sainvil, Professor of Philosophy and author, Mehdi Etienne Charlmers, writer, will choose 3 winners among the various competitors. The First Prize includes: 50,000 gourdes, a laptop and a free French course at the French Institute of Haiti.

The results will be known on Friday, March 16, 2018.
