Friday afternoon, Max Rudolph Saint-Albin the Minister of the Interior, accompanied by Government Commissioner Ocname Clamé Daméus, Secretary of State for Public Security Léon Ronsard Saint-Cyr, Mayor of Pétion-Ville Dominique Saint-Roc, members of the Intervention Brigade Against Land Insecurity (BRICIF) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21516-haiti-justice-the-anti-spoliation-brigade-soon-into-operation.html and of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) took part in an intervention anti-spoliation on a land at Vivy Michel, (Commune of Pétion-ville) while people were working on an illegal construction site.

14 people were arrested during this operation during which the authorities also seized a vehicle and closed the site.

Commissioner Daméus took the opportunity to invite all victims of land-based conflict to seek help and protection from the police and justice, stressing that he will  rage indiscriminately against all persons, judges, lawyers, police officers and others who would perform illegal judgments.

Léon Ronsard Saint-Cyr pointed out that this problem of spoliations was general in the country, but in particular to Vivy Mitchell, Croix-des-Bouquets and Thomassain where the cases were frequent and repetitive.
