Haiti - Education : Schools and high schools paralyzed in Petit-Goâve

Monday for the second week, the students of the third cycle (7th AF, 8th AF, 9th AF) of the Fundamental School of Application and Pedagogical Support Center (EFACAP) of Petit-Goâve, idling on the court of the EFA, due to the strike of teachers who demand the payment of their salary arrears and their letter of appointment.

Monday morning, some high school students sent by their comrades, came to ask the Director of the EFA, to release the students because those of the Lycée Faustin Soulouque also deprived of course because of the movement of protest and strike launched by teachers of this establishment public for similar reasons https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-23619-haiti-petit-goave-teachersstrike-the-students-of-lycee-faustin-soulouque-demonstrate.html went to the streets to demand the resumption of courses in classrooms.

In the morning the students of high school Faustin Soulouque highly motivated, have occupied the macadam forced the heads of private institutions to release their students and forced the closure of public offices (DGI, Social Affairs, finance, school inspection...)

"As long as the high school will not work, the other schools in the city will not work either," said high school leaders who were very angry of being once again deprived of class...
