Haiti - Japan : Inauguration of the VIAH Community School Project in Sarrazin
Friday, as part of the Education component of the Japanese Cooperation, the Japanese Ambassador to Haiti Yoshiaki Hatta, in the presence of Résilien Résilus, Coordinator of the Organization of Young People and Sarrazin Planters for the Advancement of the Center, the authorities representatives, faculty members and parents and students of the school, inaugurated the VIAH Community School of Sarrazin.

Realized under the Assistance Program in the form of Donations to Local Micro-Projects contributing to Human Security (APL) and following the signing of the donation contract on November 10, 2016 between the Embassy and the Youth Organization and of Peasants for the Development of the Center, the project received funding from Japan of US $76,789 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-19202-haiti-japan-signing-of-2-donations-contracts-for-over-150-000-dollars.html in favor of the complete development of the school and the construction of a building comprising six classrooms fully equipped with school furniture and a toilet block.

This new building, which respects the educational approach of the Ministry of National Education, will enable students to enjoy an improved school environment conducive to learning, facilitating their development and the development of their potential.

This inauguration ceremony was an opportunity for the various stakeholders to express their satisfaction, to renew their determination and their commitment to contribute to the creation of better learning conditions for children in Haiti.

In his remarks, the Ambassador of Japan emphasized that this inauguration demonstrated the commitment, goodwill and solidarity of the Japanese people towards Haiti.
