Haiti - Politic : Distribution of 69 motorcycles to CASEC's South Department
Friday at the Administrative Center of Les Cayes, Max Rudolph Saint-Albin, the Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities, in the presence of Fritznel Chery, President of the Association of Mayors of the South (AMSUD), Paul André, President of the National Federation of CASECs of Haiti (FENACAH), Jean Yves of Haiti, President of the CASEC's Association of the South, of the First Senator of Les Cayes and Vice President of the Senate, Pierre François Sildor and several other local authorities of the region, proceeded to the delivery of the keys of 69 motorcycles to the Boards of Communal Sections (CASEC's) in the South Department, inviting recipients to make good use of theme "while waiting the arrival of larger means of locomotion."

In his intervention Minister Saint-Albin said that other distributions will also take place in other departments of the country and urged local officials to patience, while giving them a firm guarantee, as to the other commitments of the President of the Republic to them "The attributions of my Ministry make me a Father for the Communities and my duty is to offer them the necessary supervision, until they become autonomous and able to ensure their own management."

For his part Jean Yves d'Haïti the President of the CASEC's Association of the South, complained of the lack of assistance to the Communal Sections, deploring the lack of budget for local administrations, yet promised by the Central Power. He wanted a more punctual Executive, so that the elected officials are not victims of the anger of the people who granted them a mandate in the hope of a better being.

Fritznel Chery, President of AMSUD welcomed the presence of Minister Saint-Albin and expressed his great satisfaction for this gesture, while the President of FENACAH, who recognizes that there is still much to do, spoke of a promise kept among so many others at the Federation's place.

Senator Sildor said he was aware of the problems facing the localities and invited local elected officials to trust the power in place, having no doubt about the realization of the projects envisaged for the Communities saying "Today this are the CASEC's who benefit from this donation, tomorrow it will be the turn of the other local elected officials."

Note that after this handing over of keys, Minister Saint-Albin set sail for Grand'Anse for another ceremony.
