Thursday President Moïse, accompanied by José Bernard Schettini, Director General of the National Society of Industrial Parks (SONAPI), visited the construction sites of the Extension Project of Metropolitan Industrial Park (PEPIM).

Recall that Phase I of the project consists of the construction of 6 buildings including two factories with a total area of 32,361 m2 and 1.9 km of roads and basic services. Phase II includes the construction of 5 buildings including three factories with a total area of 56,836 m2.

This important work will enable SONAPI to develop its infrastructure capacity, attract more investors in the textile industry and create 10,000 new jobs by the end of 2019.

Following this visit, President Moïse expressed his conviction that the creation of sustainable jobs across the country is the key that will open the door to national development and reiterates his commitment to creating during his five-year period the necessary conditions to increase investments in Haiti.
