It is historic, Haiti has qualified for its first FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup to be held in Brittany, from August 5th to 24th, finishing 3rd in the Confederation of North America Championship, of Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), beating Canada, giant of women's football [1-0]. Not really a feat according to Nérilia Mondésir aka "NériGol" Captain of the U-20 women's team of Haiti "[...] it could have seemed a huge performance, especially since it is the first time that Haiti qualifies for a Women's World Cup, all categories combined. But to me, it's not a surprise. We were close to a qualification in U-17. We just kept working, believing in it and it paid off !"

And to fight it will have to be done even more at the U-20 Women's World Cup, where, in Group D, Haiti will face 3 stars of women's football: China, Nigeria and Germany and that "NeriGol" knows it and is ready "We will fight. We are a small team and we are aware that being world champion will be hard. But to give everything on the ground is not complicated for us and we will do it. We are not afraid of anyone [...]"
