Haiti - Security : 4.6 earthquake off Haiti

The Technical Unit of Seismology (UTS) of the Bureau of Mines and Energy (MBE)associates with the Ministry of the Environment (MDE) and the Permanent Secretariat for Risk and Disaster Management (SPGRD) to inform that an earthquake of magnitude 4.6 on the Richter scale was recorded yesterday Monday, April 2, 2018 at 9:46 and 37 seconds in the morning.
The epicenter was located at sea about 108.4 km south of Belle Anse and 111.8 km southeast of Marigot.
Recall that Sunday the earth trembled also in the Nippes. The quake was felt in at least 4 communes of the department: Anse-à-Veau, Azile, Arnaud and Petit-Trou de Nippes, causing a beginning of panic.
No damage has been reported by local authorities for these two seismic events.
