Haiti - Culture : The Prime Minister at the Rara festivities of Léogâne

On Sunday, Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant accompanied by his wife Marie-Nirva, Limond Toussaint the Minister of Culture, Léogâne Deputy Jean Wilson Hippolite, local elected officials, the Departmental Delegate of West Joseph Pierre Richard Duplan, Vice Delegate Jn. Vladimir Bertrand and representatives of the Union of Raras of Léogâne (URAL), participated in the Rara festivities of Léogâne which took place around the theme "Ann fè youn ak rara poun pwoteje anviwonman n".

The Prime Minister, to support the Haitian culture, wanted to share this festive moment alongside the population. Haitians from various backgrounds present at the festivities expressed their wish to see the completion of the project of Rara Museum of Léogâne (MURAL) which, according to the Prime Minister, will change the perception of people and contribute to the heritage and tourism aspects of Rara in the commune of Léogâne.
