Haiti - FLASH : Haitian military would have used firearms !

Hervé Denis, the Minister of Defense, learned with amazement that on the evening of Saturday, March 31st, 3 soldiers-technicians of the Corps of Military Engineering : Rodini Pierre-Louis, Dave Basquin and Livens Dorvil, went without a mission order or regular permission to Anse-Rouge, commune of the Arrondissement of Arrondissement

During these festivities a fight with exchanges of shooting and launching objects of all kinds would have burst between the fans of two rival DJs who animated the evening. In response, the soldiers-technicians reportedly used firearms.

In parallel with the launching of public action by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Court of First Instance of Gonaïves, an administrative investigation was carried out by the Ministry in order to shed light on this incident, particularly on the origin of the weapons used.

Moreover, Minister Denis deplores and strongly condemns all acts of indiscipline and unbecoming behavior that do not fit with the new philosophy of the Military Institution and assures everyone that the competent authorities have been instructed to adopt in the better delay the necessary remedial measures.
