Canaan : Microfinance Program

To help micro-entrepreneurs in Canaan (North-East of the capital) to develop income-generating activities and lift their families out of extreme poverty, Entrepreneurs du Monde - Haiti (NGO of French origin, present in 11 countries) has set up a micro-finance program that provides them with a savings account and adapted credit, but also training to improve the effects of this funding and social support to limit accidents. The Ambassador of France in Haiti, Elisabeth Beton Delègue participated in the monthly meeting of beneficiaries mainly women who have developed a commercial activity using this microfinance program.
