Haiti - Politic : Jovenel Moïse honored by the Evangelical Baptist Mission of the South

Sunday in Les Cayes, President Jovenel Moïse, in the presence of several members of the ministerial cabinet, parliamentarians, delegations of churches from various regions of the country and faithful Protestants of Tabarnaque Simon and Reverend Pasteur Alnève S. Émile, President of the Evangelical Baptist Mission of the South (MEBSH), participated in the closing ceremony of the 82nd Annual Convention of the Evangelical Mission.

This Convention, held from April 4 to 8, around the theme "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation" (Hebrews 2: 3) was an opportunity for Christian Protestants to reflect and discuss on the true role of the Church in Haitian society and to look into the future of the Mission.

President Moïse, determined to ensure freedom of religion throughout the country, urged Protestant Christians to accompany the State and play their role as good citizens. The Head of State, who has already taken many steps in the South Department, including the concreting of Simon's road, promised "to continue working so that all social strata, all sectors of the country can have a better life."

The MEBSH during the closing ceremony, presented to the Head of State a plaque of honor to underline the recognition of his leadership at the head of the country and for the message of assembly that he delivers wherever he goes, since he is in power.
