Two agricultural projects for the North

Monday, the Minister of Environment Pierre Simon Georges received at his office a delegation of the Federation of Very Small Enterprises (FTPE) Guadeloupe and the Haitian Center for Research in Planning and Development (CHRAD) around a request for no -Environmental objection for 2 projects they plan to implement in Haiti. This is a lemon production project on 130 hectares in the Northeast and a project to establish a sugar factory on 60,000 hectares of land in the North.

Bac : Beginning of registration of the recalés

Beginning of the process of registration of candidates failed (recalés) yesterday Monday, April 9 for the session of the exams of the permanent bac of June. The operation will end on April 20th.

Note that the same day 170 checks were released and given to Pierrevilus Jean Elius Director of the high school Faustin Soulouque for teaching and administrative staff. National Census 2018

The 5th census of the population is scheduled for 2018. The collection of information will begin on November 4 and will end on December 4, 2018. Daniel Milbin, Project Leader made a plea for the participation of all citizens and invited the mayors to collaborate with the Haitian Institute of Statistics and Informatics. The innovation of this 5th census is the maximum use of new information and communication technologies.

Agriculture : International Finance Summit

"A lever for local economic development" is the sub-theme addressed by the entrepreneur Kenneth Michel, Philippe Matthieu agronomist, former Minister of Agriculture and agro-tourism entrepreneur Rudy Dérose. These panellists shared their experiences and made recommendations to local officials, urging them to be pro-active and innovative in creating jobs and new industries as well as in their search for new sources of income. They also encourage local elected officials to identify and value the resources existing in their municipality. Hurricane season: The DPC on tour
