Haiti - Politic : President Moïse visits the EDH substation of Tabarre

Wednesday in Tabarre, President Jovenel Moïse accompanied by his Energy Advisor, Yvenson Calixte, the Engineer Fritz Caillot, Minister of Public Works and the Director of Electricity of Haiti (EDH), Hervé Pierre-Louis visited all the facilities of the EDH substation to inquire about the state of this modern infrastructure inaugurated in 2017 by the de facto President Jocelerme Privert https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-18387-haiti-edh-a-high-ech-substation-in-tabarre.html Remember that this important substation is the link between the Péligre power station and the metropolitan networks and provides electricity supply to the capital.

During his visit, the Head of State discussed the possibility of creating 3 other sub-stations in the metropolitan area, as well as the improvement of the 8 others already existing.

Moïse took the opportunity to announce the launch, in the coming days, of a call for expressions of interest to companies and energy production companies in communes, for proposals related to the electrification of the country 24/24.

In addition, Hervé Pierre-Louis indicated that bill collection capacity is now 51% within EDH.
