Haiti - Politic : Important meeting of Task Force on the problem of water quality

On Wednesday, after the state visit last March, with the Town Hall of Pétion-ville, Métivier and to the Tunnel des Frères, an important meeting took place at the Office of the Technical Center of Exploitation of the Metropolitan Region of Port-au-Prince (CTE/RMPP).

It was a meeting on decisions to be taken by the Task Force created between the City Halls of the Metropolitan Region, the National Police of Haiti (PNH), the Ministries of the Interior (MICT), the Environment (MDE) and Health (MSPP) and the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA).

The representatives of these state entities discussed, among other topics, the problem of the contamination of certain sites; problems related to the environmental degradation of the perimeters of emerging sources captured by DINEPA and those related to anarchic constructions upstream of most hydraulic sites.

These themes have been developed, directly and indirectly, by: Ing. Raphaël Hosty, Director of the Regional Office for Drinking Water and Sanitation (OREPA) West, Ing. Emmanuel Molière Director of CTERMPP, Guito Édouard, Director General of DINEPA, Mr. Dominique Saint-Roc, Main Mayor of Pétion-Ville and Ing. Guerda M. Elisé.

The meeting ended on questions of general interest to the satisfaction of Guito Édouard, who intends, no matter what, to materialize the Government's public policies on drinking water and sanitation. Remember that the problem of water quality in the context of the EPA (Drinking Water and Sanitation) is one of the main priorities of DINEPA.
