The Bureau of the Chamber of Deputies announced the interpellation of the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Heidi Fortuné, during a special session scheduled for Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 am.

Settling of accounts within the judiciary and its dysfunction; the inability of the Minister to resolve the problem of prolonged pretrial detention; its failure in the fight against land insecurity and the violation of standards of appointment in the standing judiciary are the main reasons for this inquiry.

However, the Executive preceded the Chamber of Deputies, announcing Monday eveing a ministerial reshuffle https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24186-haiti-flash-appointment-of-5-ministers.html which includes the replacement of Minister of Justice Heidi Fortuné by Jean Roudy Aly, the former Director General of the Ministry of Justice until 2016 where he held the position for 5 years before being replaced by Jean Claudy Pierre.
