Fernando García Casas, Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Ibero-American and Caribbean Spain, confirmed that Her Majesty the Queen consort of Spain Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano, will visit Haiti and the Dominican Republic from 20 to 24 May to learn about bilateral cooperation projects among others in areas such as gender equality, democratic governance and rural development.

This will be Queen Letizia's 3rd trip as part of the cooperation after a visit to Honduras in May 2015 and to Senegal in December 2017.
