Haiti - Jamaica : Drug against weapons, 300 kg of narcotics seized, 1 Haitian arrested

According to the Jamaica Defense Force (JDF), during a routine patrol, the Coast Guard spotted a blue motorboat off Westmoreland (West Jamaica) on Thursday and intercepted it, in order to carry out a check, after seeing three men throw a number of suspicious packets overboard.
During the inspection, 11 packages containing marijuana were found and 5 recovered for a total of 765 pounds (347 kg) of narcotics. The goods were seized and the three men on board (two Jamaicans and one Haitian) were arrested, suspected of being linked to the trafficking of firearms against drugs between Jamaican and Haitian criminals.
