Haiti - Technology : Online training related to ICT for Haitian women 13/05/2018 08:43:05
Developed in collaboration with the School of Infotronics of Haiti (ESIH) with the support of the Caribbean Open Institute (COI), this 2-year project aims not only to promote women's access to employment, but also to build the capacity of professional technicians to consolidate the internet infrastructure in Haiti. The courses, designed by IOC based on the results of Ayitic's research, will focus on the development of aligned skills with potential job opportunities. Two specializations will be offered: "Internet Practitioner": oriented for jobs that need to control Internet browsing for small digital work (such as social media animation). "Data Practitioner": oriented towards tasks that require the handling of databases. Ayitic plans to conduct 3 training sessions online between 2018 and 2019 to reach the goal of 300 women, aged 18 to 29, trained in numerical skills and 150 specialization for network management and information security technicians.
