Haiti - NOTICE : Important works at the cemetery of Croix-des-Bouquets

Let's recall that the Municipal Council found the cemetery of the commune in a very bad state, an abandoned space where people used to throw their jumble and a refuge for bandits...

Recognizing the importance of such a place as heritage and symbol in the community, the Municipal Council decided to rehabilitate the cemetery in respect of those who have left us and to make it a secure space and a beautiful area.

The Mayor of Croix-des-Bouquets Rony Colin, announces that the first phase of the rehabilitation work of the cemetery of the commune which was to build a wall on the entire perimeter of the cemetery is over and that 3 other phases will now start quickly.

This is the construction of a chapel inside the cemetery for the faithful to pray; road construction to facilitate the circulation inside the cemetery and the repair of all the vaults.

On this last point, according to the census of the City Council there are 5,382 vaults in the cemetery. Also, the Town Hall notifies and invites all families with vaults to identify them. A representative of the family will have to go to the social services at the Town Hall (Place Bauvais) to provide information on the vaults it has They will not have money to pay for this and all the families concerned have until June 7, 2018 to identify them.

The Town Hall warns all people who have the bad intention of getting rid of garbage, parking vehicles, or creating trouble in the cemetery area, that the Council will take all the provisions of the law to punish guilty, who may be fined or imprisoned.
