Tuesday, as part of a friendly match in preparation for the 2018 World Cup, at the Alberto J. Armando Stadium, La Bombonera, (Buenos Aires) in front of 55,000 spectators, the Albicélestes (Argentina), directed by Jorge Sampaoli 5th in the FIFA world ranking have won [4-0] over our Grenadiers, 108th in the FIFA rankings, not without a valiant but insufficient resistance.

In the first period from the start Argentina took possession of the field, the Albicélestes multiplying opportunities, our Grenadiers having little opportunity to cross half the field. Lionel Messi opened the scoring with a penalty on 17 '[1-0]. Haiti could have conceded 7 to 8 extra goals, without our brilliant goalkeeper Johny Placide, (Oldham Athletic, United Kingdom) who has interposed several times in front of the powerful Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain.

At half-time, the score remains 1-0 in favor of Argentina, a result that does not reflect the level of Albicélestes.

Back from the locker room, Albicélestes more energetic, demonstrate their overwhelming superiority over Haiti. At the 58' Johny Placide pushes a header from close Lo Celso, on a center back of Higuain, the ball landing in the feet of Messi, who had no trouble getting the leather into the nets [2-0]. At the 66' Messi, the star of Barcelona, scored a hat-trick thanks to a gold service Cristian Pavon [3-0]. Three minutes later, Sergio Aguero, just entered the game, enjoying a deep center of Lionel Messi scored a fourth goal in the 69' for Argentina [4-0] which will remain the final score.

The Argentineans made 21 shots compared to 1 for Haiti, including 11 shots on target and none for Haiti. The Grenadiers have the ball 24% of the time and made 13 fouls against 9 for the Albicélestes

The Argentina team will fly to Barcelona this Wednesday for a preparation course. Argentina will play only one more friendly match by the World Cup against Israel on June 9th.
