The Dominican Minister of Defense General Rubén Darío Paulino Sem and Fernando Rosa Rosa, President of the Patrimonial Fund for Reformed Enterprises (FONPER), signed this week a cooperation agreement for the construction and repair of 80 military posts along the 391 km the Dominican border with Haiti, as well as the rehabilitation of access roads.

FONPER will provide a contribution of 50 million pesos (± $ 1 million) to ensure that the Ministry fully complies with the Dominican Government's national security policy. The defense minister said "strengthening is the only pillar of the 2017-2020 strategic institutional plan and that is why we are signing this agreement."
