The week of 18 to 22 June was not productive in Parliament, the 2018 Russia World Cup, having largely won over the activities of Parliament.

Indeed, for the analyzed week, at least four plenary session attempts (1 in the Lower House and 3 in the Senate) failed for lack of a quorum but two working sessions in the Commission could be carried out.

In the Chamber of Deputies, convened in plenary on Tuesday, June 19, only 32 out of 119 deputies responded to the first roll call and 28 to the second. This led to the cancellation of the meeting for lack of a quorum

It should be noted that a meeting of the Special Committee of the Chamber of Deputies in charge of assessing the quality of services of public and private companies was carried out on Thursday 21st where some company managers were met with the aim of collecting information and recommendations that can help improve the quality of public services in Haiti.

For its part, the Senate was unable to conduct any plenary session during the week, with respectively 15, 11 and 8 senators present at the roll-call respectively on June 19, 20 and 21, the quorum having not been achieved.

However, the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) was heard behind closed doors Tuesday, June 19, by the Justice, Defense and Security Committee of the Senate on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. On the agenda, the situation of insecurity which has been rife in the metropolitan area, particularly at Bicentenaire-Martissant for some time.
