On Saturday, June 23rd, two days before the start of the official baccalaureate exams, nearly 400 candidates risked losing their school year because they could not get their exam card confiscated by the school management, because of debts that their parents could not pay for lack of economic means...

Affected by this problem, as fathers and mothers, the three members of the Municipal Council of Croix-des-Bouquets, Mayor Rony Colin and Deputy Mayors Jean-Jonas Saint-Juste and Mrs. Géraldine Cetoute, accompanied by the Chief of Mayor's Office, Mr. Jacky C. Pierre went to the rescue of these families and paid the totality of the school debts for almost 400 bachelors so that they can recover their file and take part in the exams.

The parents came with the children's payment book and the Council gave each family a check covering their entire school debt. The beneficiary families had a breath of relief and warmly thanked the members of the Municipal Council for this noble gesture.
