This Chair, created initially for three years, will see each year a new holder come from a French-speaking country, in different fields of arts and sciences. The Collège de France announces that the Haitian writer Yanick Lahens has been named the first holder of this chair, for the academic year 2018/2019 Learn more about Yanick Lahens : Born in December 22, 1953 in Port-au-Prince, the writer, novelist Yanick Lahens, engaged in the social and cultural development of Haiti, brushes without complacency the picture of the Caribbean reality in each of her novels.
