Haiti - DR : Drop in binational trade

According to the Dominican Republic's Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD), which uses the Directorate General of Customs (DGA) as a source, Dominican exports to Haiti fell by $216 million (-20%) over 5 years (2013-2017), from 1.070 billion to 854 million, even if in 2017 exports were up almost 7% compared to the previous year (799 million in 2016 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24724-haiti-economy-dr-increases-exports-to-haiti.html ). During the same period, imports from Haiti also declined by $ 33 million (-47%) from $69 million to $36 million. In 2018, the trend seems to be continuing to decline.
