Haiti - Education : Tribute to a student emeritus of 76 years

In the premises of the School Inspection Office in Hinche, in the presence of several officials from the world of education in the Central Department, the Deputy of Boucan Carré Jude Jean (PHTK) and municipal officials of several communes of the Central Plateau, Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the resigning Minister of National Education, praised the courage, determination and commitment of student Jeudy Jean Orel who has just passed his 9th year fundamental exams at the age of 76.

This father of a family living in Boucan Carré, dedicated to studies, disciplined and studious, has succeeded his bet engaged since 2014, when he decided to return to school to finish primary school by passing the 6th year exams, ranking among the first winners of his promotion.

Firm and solid, despite his advanced age, he said he was determined to move forward, convinced that education can open doors and offer opportunities for the success of any individual.

For Minister Cadet, Jean Jeudy Orel is "a model for young Haitians and young people around the world" inviting people to learn from its history, its ideals, strength of character and belief to a world new through education.

Cadet presented a batch of books of history and literature as well as an honor and merit plaque to Orel declaring "On behalf of the Government and in particular of the President of the Republic, Jovenel Moïse, I salute Jeudy Jean Orel, student emeritus, for his academic prowess, but also as a citizen committed to the recovery of his commune."
