Haiti - Politic : Termination of the lease of the official residence of the President of the Senate 26/07/2018 09:51:06
The first provision adopted unanimously by this Conference refers to the termination of the lease of the house to be used as official residence for the President of the National Assembly. For this purpose, the owner, accompanied by his law firm, responded to the invitation of the Senate and an agreement was found on the termination clauses. The Senators continue to carefully analyze the other provisions. In the interest of transparency, the population will be informed regularly, as the approval of the Conference of Presidents will be obtained for the implementation of the measures proposed by the President of the Senate who remains attentive to all sectors of national life. This residence was rented furnished at the cost of 7.2 million Gourdes and authorized by the Conference of Presidents in March 2018 and the contract was signed by the Questor and approved by the President of the National Assembly and the Superior Court of Accounts .
