Thursday, as part of the 23rd Central American and Caribbean Games taking place in Barranquilla, Colombia, the Haitian women's basketball team 3x3 entered the competition and had to face in its first match the Dominican Republic.

Due to a late modification of the calendar by the organization of the games, Haiti had to face Thursday, in his first match Puerto Rico (initially planned Friday), then in the same day the Dominican Republic. However, because of this change, the Puerto Rico team could not get there in time because of a plane problem, granting the victory to Haiti.

In the second meeting, at the end of the afternoon the Haitian team reinforced by Ruth Phileas (France) faced a strong Dominican selection and lost [12 - 4]. The 4 points of Haiti were inscribed by: Alissa Pierre (1), Ruth Datis Altamar (2) and Ruth Phileas (1).

With a win and a loss, the Haitian team faced Friday Mexico in a final game and ultimate chance to qualify for the quarter-finals. Unfortunately for our girls, they bowed hard against the Mexicans [3 - 22]. The 3 points of Haiti were inscribed by Paul Christelle (1), Datis Ruth (1) and Philéas Ruth (1).

A defeat that puts an end to the Haitian participation in women's basketball 3x3, at the 23rd Barranquilla Games 2018, Mexico having qualified for the 1/4 finals.
