Wednesday in Cap-Haïtien, President Jovenel Moïse accompanied by several members of his ministerial cabinet, participated in the solemn mass sung in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption to celebrate the patron saint's day of the second city of the country.

Well decorated for the occasion, the Cathedral Notre Dame of the Assumption of Cap-Haïtien gathered in its enclosure, several parliamentarians, a large number of civil, judicial and police authorities, great clerks of the State, several personalities of the civil service, pilgrims and many parish faithful.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the diocesan administrator, Bishop Julmiste Gabriel, surrounded by several priests of the archdiocese while the homily was pronounced by the parish priest of Petite-Anse, the Rev. Father Acnis Derosin who launched a message for an awakening of our patriotic conscience in order to save Haiti.

The Notre-Dame Feast, which is important in the country, is also celebrated in Port-au-Prince, Les Cayes and several other towns and localities in the country including : Petit-Goâve, Ouanaminthe, Domond, Difailly, Anse-Rouge, Lamardelle / Cross-Bouquets and Passe-Reine. This feast is the occasion of festivities that attract residents and local and international tourists.
