Haiti - Justice : Illegal games, arrests of Haitians and Dominicans in Delmas 65

Friday, August 17, as part of actions to regulate and control gaming operations in the country, the Haitian State Lottery (LEH) participated in an operation of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) in a house in Delmas 65 where several Haitian and Dominican individuals were arrested on charges of illegal gambling activities. Representatives of the judiciary, part of this operation, have sealed the house and launched prosecutions against the individuals involved in these illegal gambling activities. Marie Margareth Fortuné, the Director of the Haitian State Lottery, reiterated her determination to continue fighting against all those who do not respect gambling and money laws in every corner of the country.
