On Tuesday, Haitian-American Daphné Campbell (61, from Cap-Haitien), Senator of District 38 (North-East of Miami-Dade), which includes the largest Haitian community in the country, lost her seat during elections held in Florida. Campbell, who was elected eight years ago in the state legislature, lost to former Attorney Jason Pizzo, who won 54.2% of the votes.
