On Tuesday, the working visit to Port-au-Prince started last August 25 of the Ambassador Santiago Mourão, Under-Secretary General for International Cooperation, Trade Promotion and Cultural Themes of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, ended.

This visit confirms the importance of South-South cooperation between Brazil and Haiti, which has several projects in the country, particularly in the health sector where the cooperation started since 2010, concerns 3 reference community hospitals in Bon Repos, Beudet and Carrefour, operated by Brazil.

In addition, Brazil plans to build 3 vocational training centers in Haiti with the National Institute for Vocational Training (INFP).

Bilateral co-operation also includes many other projects, particularly recently in the areas of family farming, school feeding and standardization and the strengthening of the penitentiary system.
