Haiti - Politic : Training of the road staff of the PAP Town Hall
On the initiative of the Town Hall of Port-au-Prince, the IDEO Foundation organized training and awareness sessions for road service staff during 3 consecutive Mondays.
The main objectives of these sessions were to sensitize the road workers on different aspects of their work, which have a direct influence on the life of the population. The participants thus apprehended the importance of an efficient service for the development of the actions of the Town Hall in its fight against the insalubrity and the management of the detritus. The trainers also insisted on the development of the attitudes and skills of the members of the Roads to be able to manage their emotions in the field, better face crisis situations and resolve them, improve the image of the Town Hall by their behavior and be knowledgeable, attentive and accessible interlocutors.
At the end of these trainings, the participants welcomed this initiative, which allowed them to be better equipped and to be employees conscious of their mission and better imbued with the behavior to adopt towards the population.
